I LOVE CATS - 2026 MULTIMEDIA SCULPTURE PROJECT
I Love Cats is a celebration of cats and women, and their undeniable and unbreakable bond built over centuries. Through poetry, sculpture, imagery, and smell, you can immerse yourself in the cyclical journey of discovery and rediscovery.
When you can find and lose yourself a million times, you can only rely on the past and the present to ground you in reality. Finding meaning in generational struggle and strength is seen as a comfort for facing the future. I Love Cats is a reminder to critique the culture of conformity, spread love radically from within oneself, and to allow for knowledge to be able to grow alongside nuance. Through a radical and obsessive appreciation of cats, I honor
myself and every woman who came before me. I love cats is Ava's art debut. During this project, she challenged herself to expand on her foundational knowledge and transform it into new formats she had yet to explore in depth: poetry, paper mache, mosaic, gardening, sewing, etc.
